Whos your pick to win the award this year? Remember Oden is still eligible as he didn't play a single game last year in the regular Season.

Generally the more winners have higher PPG averages and player for a bad team giving them a lot of touches. Kevin Durant had a solid year last year but would he have one if someone had posted better all around numbers with some scoring.

OJ Mayo seems to be the popular pick as he will be a prime scoring option in Memphis hopefully, while Beasily and Rose will have reduced rolls in terms of scoring.

I think it will be Greg Oden. He is physcially by far the most ready rookie to handle the NBA, and despite not playing a game yet, I think he is far more experienced then all the others rookie from just being in training camp for two years, and being with the team for a whole year.

I'd liek to see Oden win it, but something just says he won't. I think his number will be solid but generally the scorer wins..I can't remember the last time someone who wasn't scoring at a high rate for a rookie winning.

Front-runner looks to be Mayo. Oden will have solid numbers, I'm thinking like 15/8 or a little better on boards. He's just not a huge scoring threat and like Yugo said, scorers usually win RotY.

I'm definitely a fan of the Bucks and therefore would've liked to have seen Oden get a ROY award, but that guy just can't keep himself from getting injured! Obviously no ROY award for him and who even knows how his NBA career will turn out? I think I'll put Tyreke Evans (as of right now) in the spot for winning the award this year though.

Evans is awesome and my vote definitely goes to him.

Tyreke Evans is the front runner right now. Brandon Jennings and Stephen Curry are in the conversation as well.

Evans? I think Jennings is the front runner with Blair and Evans in the conversation.

We do mean the 2009-10 rookie of the year, right?

I think Brandon Jennings, who just happens to be a Buck, is the front runners. Evans is having a great year though.
